Ulva is a green edible seaweed and known as 'Sea Lettuce'. Ulva is a seaweed that is high in protein, dietary fibers and a variety of vitamins and minerals. Palmaria palmata is a red seaweed and known as 'Dulse'. It's a great tasting seaweed and referred to as vegan bacon, It's salty, smoky, nutty flavor, with a rich umami taste. Palmaria palmata has a dark red to purple color and is used in cosmetics, dietary supplements and is a great and healthy snack for pets.
Gracilaria, also known as ogonori, is a genus of red algae. It is notable for its economic importance as an agarophyte meaning that it is used to make agar, as well as its use as a food for humans and various species of shellfish. Various species in the genus are cultivated.
Asparagopsis, or red harpoon weed, is a species of marine red algae. Asparagopsis grows in tropical areas as well as at the coast of Europe and Africa. Asparagopsis extracts are antioxidant and anti-ageing and are used in skin care products for hydration, uniformity of complexion and elasticity.
